Reuters reported that Japan's refined zinc exports for July fell 20% from a year earlier to 7,580 tonnes marking the 7th straight month of declines.

Ministry of Finance data showed that Taiwan was the top destination accounting for 29% of total export volume followed by China with 24%.

Zinc is mainly used as an anti corrosive coating in galvanized steel production and in plating. July's YoY drop narrowed from June's 37% fall.
